Default idle problems 2003 jaguar S type 3.0l

about 6 months ago my check engine light came on. had my friend put his scanner on and check it, the car came back with p1646 i ran the car until it finally stopped running and had to be towed home, i finally ordered the o2 sensor and changed it out today, tried starting the vehicle after changing the o2 sensor( bank 1 upstream sensor) it started but quickly died out, i disconnected the battery for 30 minutes and tried to restart the car, the car started up fluttered a bit then went back to idling like nothing was wrong I took it around the neighborhood and it drove fine, when i got home i turned the vehicle off and tried to start it back up, it would start but quickly starts to idle roughly and then dies out. i dont know what else to check because the scanner is not reading anything but the p1000 DTC

Wrong sensor? Fitted badly? Failing battery?

the sensor was the exact same one that came out of vehicle, now after cranking the car so many times the battery is starting to die, the vehicle ran for about ten minutes after changing the sensor but now it just cranks up sputters and dies out, seems like its not getting gas

Did car sit for a while? Seems to kill fuel pumps. Also, maybe change fuel filter. Either way, check fuel pressure.

changed fuel filter then started it, got 40psi but the car was running rough, then i turned car off disconnected the fuel pressure gauge and now the car doesnt want to start, i reconnected the fuel pressure gauge and now im not getting any fuel pressure, could it be the fuel pump? or the fuel pressure regulator?

40 is low. None suggests the pump.

Would the maf sensor have anything to do with it not running after I try starting the vehicle

Changed the fuel pump today and I'm getting a rough idle and car starts intermittently, it will start then die out then after a couple tries the motor will sputter then idle at 1000rpms but with a bad idle. I'm at a stand still and can't figure out what is wrong with the car.
