thanks ggg for the very fast reply.
this is whot i got when read the car with my pc (p0341 camshaft position sensor "A" circuit range performace) so orded 2x camshaft sensors hoping this will sort the problem was geting confussed with these and the crankshaft sensors will have look at car agen with the digram you have selplied and hope i can sort it thanks agen
I often find a drawing of what the sensor looks like is as much, if not more help than where it's located.
The full description of possible causes for P0341 on the 2001 S-Type is:
Bank 2 CMP Sensor disconnected
Bank 2 CMP Sensor gap incorrect / foreign matter on sensor face
Bank 2 CMP Sensor sensing circuit: open circuit, short circuit to ground, short circuit to high voltage
Bank 2 CMP Sensor reference ground circuit (to splice) open circuit
Bank 2 CMP Sensor failure
Although sensor failure is the likely cause, don't discount cleaning required or bad harness connections before splashing the cash.
thank you both that makes it a lot clere so think the sensors i got are the crankshaft sensors and not the cam shaft sensors i orded have atched a pic of the one thay have sent me this is probly why i cudent see them do these twist rater then un bolt like the one on the pic i posted
