Thumbs up Absolutely FREE 15HP STR modification! No installation neccessary!

This cold weather that's coming in is having a palpable effect on the mid-range power, and throttle response of my STR. This will be my first winter with the car, and I'm excited by the prospects. It's supposed to be about 40 degrees tonight and I plan on taking her out for a spin after the Yankees game.

Anyone else noticing her liven up as the mercury drops?

You sonofa b.....

I knew this had to be a trick!

Just be careful, if the Yanks lose then I bet some of your fellow motorists might suffer a bit o' road rage.

I'm a Mets fan so you know which way I'm leaning!

Temps haven't reached freezing yet, and tires are fresh. I'm still determining whether I should shut her down completely for the winter.

I sent a PM to Chris this a.m. wanting to share the results of my 40 degree NY ride last night. Though my STR has benefited from mods (full exhaust, K&N filter, 1.5 pulley, low temp thermostat), last night's performance was extra thrilling. From a dead stop she clicked off a few nasty 0-60's (actually closer to 0-70). I've had high power Mustangs that gave me a feel for what is "quick"...last night the STR was "quick" ("that's what she said").

40 degrees, try -45 degrees! I find that the car has more getup and go when the temp falls. And when it's so cold out that its out of the range of the external temp sensor, you know it helps with all that engine heat! Hey, so for all of you that want a free hp, just move up here to Winnipeg!

Getting into the low-mid 30's at night here. It's like packing your intercooler with ice.....
