Default S-Type CD Changer Removal

Since the six CD cartridge is stuck in my 2001 S-Type I thought I'd swap it out for the working one in my 2000 S-Type. How do you take it out? My 2000 is in the glove box but my 2001 in the trunk. Thanks in advance.

I used to install these in NEW CARS that did not have them from the factory.
Jaguar offered a fitment kit.

The glovebox/cubby needs to removed for access to the (I think 3??) fasteners holding the mount bracket.

The mount bracket can be removed from the CD changer and then mounted in the boot in the correct bracket.

It is harder to fit it in the 2000MY than to remove it.

Thanks Bob. Do you happen to know what kind of fasteners these are? Thanks again.

I tackled the CD Changer install in my 2000 S Type in glove box. Definitely remove the glove box if going that route. Also, if your installing a CD changer where you didn't have one before - you need to source a glove box liner for the CD changer. There are 4 bolts holding the bracket in place - one of which is a PITA to find and unbolt.

Have extensions and patience readily available...

Thanks abonano. They seem to be Torx screws. Do you or anyone know what size they are? Looks like one would have to use some kind of rachet to remove them.
