Default Windshield Washer Not Working

My windshield washer stopped working about a month ago on my 2005 S-Type V8. Initially I thought I just ran out of fluid, but I bought some today and it topped off immediately.
I hear the washer motor whirring when I press the washer button, but no water comes out. I don't see any leaks, so it doesn't appear to be a broken hose.
Any ideas? By car fixing skills are pretty basic, but this can't be too complicated.
Thank you!

You have a blocked line. An air compressor would come in handy.

There is a hose that is connected to the washer pump located under the front (under) pan (passenger side) that works its way up to the cowl then will seperate into 2 hoses (1 for each wiper arm).

Simple fix and no indy or dealer involved.

Ditto to Ricks clog remedy. You may also take a more passive route by simply by blowing into the intake tube.

Default It's the motor.

When I finally had my window washer checked out, the window washer motor was not working at all.
Any thoughts on replacing this part? Is there a Ford equivalent part that will work?

I am confused a bit?
What was the sound you heard when you pressed the washer button? Nothing else turns on when you activate the washers.

It's no longer making the "motor" sound. Now, all I hear it a faint click.

I would power the pump on the bench before throwing it out. Any chance you might have a connection or relay problem?

If it is a blockage you could try false teeth cleaner, in the system over night, this has worked well before on clearing blockages, if that is the problem

Do you think that will clear my "Washer Fluid" code as I know the fluid was dirty when I changed it BUT It still throws the message.
I have some "Polident"

I know some of you may find this hard to beleive BUT we have owned this Jag for 12 years and never used the windshield washer!.

So I can only blame us for not changing the fluid in the bottle once a year because of the crud that is built uo around the sensor.

When the message appeared I check the bottle nd topped it off but did not cure the problem. I then drained and refilled with a solution of vinega and water and drove it for a day or two, drained it and re filled it, still not working!
I then added some Simple Green and water for a few days same outcome!
I think after 12 years it is going to need more than one douching of polident so maybe something stronger.

I did attempt to remove the bottle but it looked like a PITA, so we just "push the button" and clear the code!

I will report back after the Polident treatment !!!

If your windshield washer motor has not been activated for 12 years, chances are good that it has locked up. But check its fuse(s) before doing anything else....
