Unhappy Goodbye trusty S Type

Hola !
Sad news -after a 7 year love affair my beautiful 3-0 SE Plus S Type was hit up the rear by some Total Dick Head trying to queue jump on a exit slip and was so busy being a total prat he did not realise the traffic had stopped and when he did it was too late and he skidded over 12 meters across the white lined area into me and shunted me 3 meters into the poor guy in front and totalled my car.
This year I had just spent over a £ Grand - new tyres/brakes/service and was looking forward to another year of comfortable reliable commuting 60 miles a day listening to Classic FM and supping my morning coffee. She had 162000 miles on her but still drove lovely and smooth with no smoke and only a heater damper motor and electric adjustment to mirrors as non operational.
I had planned to give her to my sons partner the end of next year for doing the school runs ..... sob ... sob !
But on the good news side I have just purchased an
XFS Portfolio Diesel 3-0 so I am leaving this forum and moving over, I say over - not up - as my old S type gave a better 'waft'y Ride' than the XF - but then the XF is the sport version so I should have expected it.
so Bye all ....... its been emotional
