Default strut braces

out of stock

noodling around on web and saw this unfortunately out of stock suspension mod part. didn't see a front brace but the pic is worth checking out and maybe fabing up a copy.

Waste of money. Jaguar strengthened and stiffened the STR specifically so if it were needed they'd have fitted one.

yeah that figures as the design and cost of the cars is exceptional. had a 3.0 Z3 and a '78 vette that both improved with front spreader bars.

The one from the XF would probably be a direct-fit

Any bit of extra stiffness is a good thing, just ask Astra-Zeneka about Viagra. And I bet they'd make a batch if they had a group order. I wonder if it will fit a non-R model?

funny but I couldn't find one for the front. i wonder if there's even enough room under there for a brace?

I kind of wonder about that. Jaguar has a 3 point one installed from the factory and it's pretty stout.

Do you think an additional bar would do anything?

I think the str already has some sort of brace under the plastic cover that covers the throttle body area I may be wrong though

Yes all S Types have this 3 point front strut bar. Yes it's under the plastic cover.

So the rear is the only one that would be needed, if one was needed at all. That front brace is quite hefty. If Jaguar went there with the front and not the back I doubt the rear needed it, unless you're racing it.

STR'S have a brace panal behind the rear seat . so i guess that was thought about and was enough of an improvement for jaguar to sign off the upgrade .
