JAG S-TYPE NAVIGATION DVD AND SYSTEM
Hi, guys!
I've got the Jag S-type 2003 with Navi (but without the DVD).
I consider getting a DVD (but not buying because buyingwill cost me some 900 Euros and this is a price that I am deffinetely not paying for a mf DVD.)
I think that this high prices are f*cking crazy, havin in mind that I've already payed for theNaviand theoldf*cking DVD, which is now useless.
Can you give me some specifications of the JAG DVD NAVI reader, that is at the trunk of the car and also the protections it has. I would appreciate it and reply back.

We've had success in duplicating NAV disks around, for backup purposes only of course,
and i'm fairly certain there are some members that may help you in this venture...tips, a trial disk, etc. Sit tight, someone will be along to help you shortly. If you search through the General Tech section, and browse the S-type/X-type threads for NAV info (I think you both have the same DENSO systems), you may find someone more quickly to help you. The one on the XKs are different, unfortunately, so I can't help you...plus, they stopped making updated map discs for us in 2003/2004.

I'm going to check it out and see what's going on. I've heard that the NAVI device doesn't read SSDL DVDs so this is the first that needs to be beaten as the NAVI DVD is some 7 GBs which might be fake 7 GBs.
This is why I asked for any specifications, so I could be sure that the device can or cannot read double layer DVDs.

I have recently upgraded from X-Type to S-Type and this is my first post on this forum. Good to know that forum like this exists
Anyway, follow up question about Sat Nav disk - does the new disk update maps only, or will it also upgrade Sat Nav software itself?
If it does not update software, is there way to upgrade it?
I am not saying the software needs upgrading - it just if upgrade is available, I would like to know about it
