H&R will work well if you specify the AWD springs.
The H&R and VAP springs are both high quality. The H&R springs will lower the car 1.3-1.5" and the VAP springs will lower the car by .75-.9".

 

If I purchase the H and R spring would I need a spacer? If so, where can I purchase it? I'm sorry I'm new to this. Lol

No spacers needed, but you might want spacers from an aesthetic standpoint after you get the springs installed.

H&R makes quality products but the drop is a bit too aggressive for me. I think VelocityAP is the best way to go. I've been trying to work with Eibach to start a program for the F-TYPE as they are less than 30 minutes from me.

 

Keep in mind that the AWD has more ground clearance than the RWD and the H&R drop might get it to the same height as an RWD with VAP springs. I agree, however, that the VAP drop might be better suited for most with RWD. I have to be very judicious about navigating the asphalt ruts in downtown Baltimore on the H&Rs.

 

ahhh I guess we're pretty blessed in Orange County roads are for the most part pretty great besides a few little dips on the 5 freeway, I've never had any issues with any of my previous very low cars

 

If my car rode any lower, being in Houston, I don't think it would last a day.

 

It would do just fine. The front whiskers would get chewed up pretty quickly (as mine are), but those are cheap (~$110 for the set of 3) and easily replaced. I always keep a spare set on hand just in case the old set starts to look too ratty. Until now, I have just shaved off the resulting streamers with a sharp blade.

 

Unhingd--Would you mind providing a link for the set of 3 at ~$110? I've seen quotes for approx. $190 for 1. I have a 2015 R. Thanks.

I'm not sure why H&R said that but it is most definitely NOT the same for all R's.

We have 3 distinct part numbers:
VEL-004 - Rear on All FTypes, Front on all V6 and V8S
VEL-003 - Front on 2WD FType R
VEL-003AWD - Front on AWD Ftype R

We originally tried the 003 spring on the AWD R and it is over 1 inch shorter than the 2WD Spring. The car won't sit even remotely right.

 

H&R makes good springs, but to the best of my knowledge does not offer an application for the AWD R. The front spring is over 1" shorter than the 2WD R. I know this because we tried fitting the 2WD springs and they are WAY off.

If they only list the one part number, don't buy it. I have our AWD Springs in stock, we can ship them straight away and they are a great progressive ride which retains stock ride quality.
