Back on the job
Hi All,
After the last Brighton meet I was under some pressure at home to reduce the hours I spend per week on here - fundamentally by reducing thre frequency of the Brighton event from 6 monthly to 12 monthly... so I gave in, and kept away from almost everything Jaguar right through to the end of the school summer holidays.
I used the time to give the X308 a couple of weeks out and about with a week in the Leeds area followed by a week in Wareham clocking up about 1500 miles without a single issue.
The second weeks weather was pretty wet, and quite a few of the roads in Dorset had disappeared under several inches of water but my trusty X308 managed it all with no complaints.
I even managed to achieve 24-26mpg overall which is good for a car with that much space for the kids, two fullsize suitcases plus half a lamb and pig that we just happened to get on the way :-)
Now the children are back at school, my better half is relatively happy with me not mentioning Jaguars or forums for a while so I am back..
I have kicked off the next Brighton meet, and have been making progress with getting things in place for what I want to be the best Brighton meet to-date (yes if I can at least match Jims last event I will be very very happy lol). Over the next couple of weeks I will get back up to speed with everything on here and be back to where I was before my break :-)
Meanwhile, I am hoping you guys can update me with any up and coming UK events for our events thread, any suppliers or repairers that you have had good service from and so on and lets see if we can get this region back on the road (so to speak :-))

Just after that post the battery failed lol - I am now £88 lighter, but hopefully she is back to starting all OK again.. I will know for sure later in the week after she has been standing for a few days since the weekend.
Meanwhile though I am getting back into the swing of things and am working on hopefully the biggest Brighton convoy & meet to-date, with lots of things in the fire that will hopefully come together for the day - announcements to come over the next few months.
It's great to be back, involved in things again - as good as the holiday was, with family time - this is where I enjoy being :-)
