All--Any good Jag mechanic(s) in/near Augusta, GA/or Beaufort, Aiken, SC???
New owner and would like to know (for my records) curb weight, 2003 XJR, VIN...F50806. There seems to be some "overlap" in XJR Models. XJR 2003-2009 shown as X350 and X358, but XJR 1997-2003 (mine?) is X308. Anyone clarify for me? How to remove REAR headrests for better visibility? Is there some "magic" to removing engine air filter AFTER "spring clips" removed from air box? Got old out, but worried about new one in. THANKS !! EHT, Aiken, SC

Saw an earlier post asking for shops/techs in the Raleigh, NC area. Have an XK8 that needs work on an 0706 code/transmission fault. Any options?

Hi FactoryJaguarTech,
Looks like you're in Boca? Are you a dealership or indie? Willing to let us source parts rather than mark up? Pls send to my e-m, as I haven't checked forum for awhile: jim.marsee@yahoo.com.
Thanks,
Jim

LilaJagHubby - you can try and PM him but he has not posted to the forum since 2010 - so not sure if he is still available to assist

where are you located. We just bought our 2003 XKR and on the way home we received a gearbox fault warning. What can it be and what would it cost?

All--I have used Jag/Rover dealer in Columbia, SC and find them both honest and competent. Just N of I-26/20 intersection. They have a very experienced (old guy) who really seems to know the car. Feel free to call me when in the area. (Our '03 XJR will "pick up the mail," with a radar stop at 93 mph in Richmond, VA, but...working for the City, I got a pass. Luckily, I DID signal lane change.) 803-514-2828

I have an icarsoft scanner and there are few modules that are asking for the VIN number. I have tried to talk to Jaguar Palm Beach about it but I am getting some clueless responses. they've already hit me up for a few hundred bucks and haven't solved any of my issues. I had to tell them about the O2 sensor campaign when they couldnt get the CEL to go off. Do you know anyone with SDD that I can hire to reload the asbuilt files to the car so these features can be reactivated?
Thanks

Have you reached out to the JCNA or Jag lovers FORUM members to steer you in the right shop/direction? If not, might be something you might want to look into.

My 2010 xf sc is experiencing the same issue. The car starts and idles fine but when out on the road under acceleration it stutters and misses terribly. At first it didn't throw any codes at all, no cel. I took to the jag dealer. They put two new mass airflow sensors. $750.00 later, same symptoms. Still no codes. Drove the car a few more days and it finally a cel light the code was p0193, fuel rail pressure sensor A circuit high input. Took it back to the dealer they checked it out, said they didn't think it was the sensor. They weren't sure what was going on suggested that I drive the car until it breaks and then they will know what the problem is. PFFFFT!! WTF! So I am driving the car, so far it hasn't broke and is very miserable to drive. I sure hope some has answer to this problem. thank you in advance for any help as this issue has been going on for about 3 months. I'm sick of it! I am in tampa fl. Does anyone know a good tech in my area as the dealer appears to be clueless.
