It's a 99 model, and I'm pleasantly surprised at the pristine condition of the car. Now, I've got to get to the local Jag dealer to see what warranty work/TSB's have been completed. Worse come to worse, I'll pull a valve cover to inspect the secondary camshaft tensioners and pull the water pump to see if it's been changed. You know they've got a British car club in Franklin, TN for the Nashville area.

Try nashvillebritishcarclub.org. They're going to be part of a large car show/expo in Franklin, TN in January with supposedly 100 vendors.

I got hooked on British automobiles when my college roommate had a new '68 XKE convertible with Abarth exhaust. Quad exhaust pipes would sing going thru the gears @ 7000 rpms.

I attended a # of British auto shows @ Chateau Elan--NE of Atlanta. You cannot believe how many British automobiles are in Atlanta. Some were the most beautiful, exquisite cars I've ever seen. One guy had a Caterham Super 7 with a polished aluminum body--looked like chrome.

I am a lover of all types of Euro cars. My all time favorite was my 1985 Alfa GTV6. Nothing sounded close to it.

I have a 2000 4.0 S-Type, silver. 150k+ miles on it and still runs like a champ. Its so hard to not go too fast in it. I love this car. I've owned a lot of cars in my nearly 43 years on this earth and never loved a car this much. Its just a pleasure to drive. I have a DVD/Sirius Radio installed in it, and its got the original GPS in it that runs off a CD. If anyone knows of a good GPS that will fit inside the same space that's more modern, please let me know.

I really want to get the interior redone as the leather seats are showing signs of age in the front. It could use a re-do but the body and paint are excellent.

I am also on the lookout for an XJ with a Chevy engine retrofit. Once in a while they pop up on Craigslist, but always when I don't have the cash. They usually go for around $3500 or so. I've trade a sweet Les Paul signed by Les Paul for the right one.

Hello, I too am a newbie to the marque and live in Franklin. The 03 STR has been fun as we get its maintinance uptodate. the Nashville British Car Club is a god group, having been a member for about four years. the cars show is in Oct at the Centinnial Park. There is a nashville Jaguar club that meets at the Guerst House at least monthly but I am not well acquaineted with them.
