More Jaguars in Texas
#143
Well, looks like there is soon to be another Jag in Texas.
I have made a decision to move back home. Will be leaving the Atlanta area within the next week, will be settling somewhere in the Dallas area. The XKR is stored at my sisters in Tallahassee Fl, will retrieve it once I get settled.
I look forward to reconnecting with fellow forum members, Matt, John, Mike, and others, how about another get together this spring, as I look forward to my return to the Big D.
Cheers,
BK

Jaguar Owners Club
If any of you are interested in joining a very active Jaguar enthusiast club check out Jaguar Owner's Association Southwest : North Texas Area Car Club for Jaguar Enthusiasts. I have been a member of the Jaguar Owner's club for almost twenty years. We have a great time gathering each month for social events and enjoy our Jaguars throughout the year attending car shows, driving events, and visiting with other Jaguar Clubs throughout Texas. We would enjoy meeting you and learning more about your Jaguars. You can learn more about us from our website, or by contacting me on this forum or at xjjags@gmail.com. In addition, there is a major gathering of British cars next Sunday, May 3rd, at White Rock Lake. You can learn more about it at All British & European Car Day, Sunday May 3rd, 2015. Come visit us at our Club tent. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello All,
You can add me to the list as well. I have a 2002 S Type 3.0. living in Kennedale (That's Arlington for you outsiders, lol). Also looking for a good independent mechanic. I currently go to Autobahn (Lee Letts) who is pretty good, but the dealer is expensive. I am looking to make some mild upgrades to the car (wheels, audio, paint touch up, rear view camera, and possibly exhaust). Would love to talk shop with other DFW members about their expereinces.

I just bought what is the 6th, I believe, Jaguar in Wood County....that is if there are currently 5 others. I live between Quitman and Winnsboro. Mine is a 2002 so I could stay a Ford family, 1 pickup and 2 Ford tractors ! I am curious where you have yours serviced in Tyler. I am still in the search mode.

Glad to see more Jags in East Texas. We have five here in Holly Lake Ranch. I own two and a friend owns two. I see another one around but don't know who owns it.
I would be very interested in a Jag meet somewhere in the eastern part of the state. Please put it on the forum if anyone hears of one.

Here in Fort Worth, I will spot seems like one x400 per day, maybe two x300-308s per week, three x350s per month, maybe two x100s per month, maybe two x150s per month, one x250 per month and one x351 every other month. There may be more of the late model sedans in traffic but they're harder to distinguish from other sedans at a distance and thus may escape my notice.
I always figured we had quite a few Jaguars here just because we have a local dealer and many communities don't. I bought mine out of rural Louisiana and records show the previous owner would drive 90 miles to the Jaguar dealer in Shreveport to have it serviced. Most buyers probably wouldn't do it if the servicing dealer were so far away.

New Baby in Austin
Holy Thread Revival Batman!
I've seen only one other XE in Austin so far in the Domain parking lot.. And we passed a beautiful 2017 XF in Lulling this Christmas Day. (And a Modeo, barely worth mentioning.) Here is my baby coming out of the womb....its the really quick 3.5T.

Greetings from waaaay over in El Paso! I just picked up my car last week. Excited to add a tune, pulley and a couple of other mods to make it even better! No others in El Paso, I take it?? lol They do have a Land Rover/ Jag dealership here, so I know there are quite a few here. They probably just don't know about this forum.
Glad to be here and be a part of the community!
