Default Wanted:Vintage Jag Tech in Las Vegas

I have a very original and straight '64 3.8S "Barn Find" that I would like to bring back to life. Any recommendations for an honest and qualified tech/shop in Las Vegas, or even SoCal, that could help me?

Great independant Jag shop in San Francisco. International Sport Motors; ask for Giovanni. They know their Jags (they also service other imports, but their Jag knowledge was on the spot) are honest and reasonably priced.

They diagnosed a complex problem on the suspension and brakes and saved over $1000 bucks compared to another indy Jag shop. FYI...I have 2006 XJ8L

I've heard some good reviews about Giovanni. A friend of mine has been servicing her BMW there for almost 4 years. And she likes them a lot. I, on the other hand, don't have any personal experience with them but I've called them a couple of times and I was given almost the same quotes for repairs as a dealership had given me before.

I took my '98 XK8 in here to help diagnose an intermittent. I am happy with their work and integrity.

Default North Bay (SF, Marin, points north?)

I just bought a beautiful '89 XJ-S that needs quite a bit of TLC under the bonnet and I want to restore it to better than original driving condition (not concourse grade). Anyone know of an honest, fair and competent shop or two that can work on my old Jag? Need not be a purist. In fact, I'd rather someone willing to look at new ways to improve on the original.

I'm in Marin County.

I haven't used him myself, but I've heard good things about 'JagJohn' at Park Place Ltd in Seattle. He has broad experience with all Jag models, vintage and modern.

Question: I'm car illiterate. Sorry... I posted the codes that came up and the only response I got back was How To clear the codes. Why would I want to clear the codes? Am I not wanting to use the codes to repair the potential problems?

The Original Jaguar Specialists on Santa Fe down near the 5 Freeway and Pacific Beach. Been there since the late 1950s. They are THE best! Mike is awesome!
