It looks like you been having door lock problems for a while. I've moved your question to X308 tech forum for advice from members with the same model.

Not that this is necessarily your issue but I have encountered passenger door lock hang ups on several occasions, typically when an eager valet is tugging on the passenger door while my wife is trying to lift the interior handle to unlock it, and possibly, the car is still in gear.
I have found that the following steps help:
1) yell at everyone to STOP (doesn't really help but you feel better)
2) put car in park and kill engine (edit: don't recall but you may have to remove the key)
3) open driver door then close it.
4) start car, put in drive triggering automatic door lock event.
5 put car in park, kill engine and open driver's door (all doors should then unlock)
I suspect it never occurred to the designers that someone would ever want to open a locked car door when the automobile was in gear (which makes sense to me).

Start by doing a hard reset of the battery. Pull the negative cable off the battery post and touch it to the positive post. This empties many of the memories in the car.reattach the cable and then try to work the key fobs opening and closing. If the passenger lock is still locked, then you will have to remove the door card and check to see if the lock mechanism is broken or disconnected. Lots of instructions on this form for removing the door card and trouble shooting lock issues.

Charles,
I expected more X308 owners to have posted in reply to your question. This must not be as much of an issue on the X308 as it is on the XK8.
You should first determine whether this is an electrical or a mechanical issue. The Door Latch (item 1) has electrical actuation as well as linkages to the exterior door handle (item 6) and the interior release button (item 11).

The door card will have to be removed to check the harness connector and the Door Sill Linkage. Here is the extract from JTIS showing the harness and linkages:
