Default ECM HELP

Hi, I have a 2005 Jaguar x type 2.0D estate.

Tried to clear DTc's in JLR-SDD after turbo work.

Had error PECU on dash, I then tried config the ECM, but with wrong part number. SDD now shows loads of DTC's and no CAN comms to the ECM.

Took the ECM out, had it tested, it was fine.

Could the immobiliser have tripped?
Any idea how to reset the immobiliser to allow me to reprogram the ECM again?

Any help would be appreciated.

Brad, you may need to program the ECU outside the car to get it to a mode that it will be accepted. From the sounds of things, whatever you did to program it caused it to not look at the CAN bus, therefore resulting in what you are seeing.

Not knowing exactly what you did, hard to say what is going on. I am not really familar with SDD, so, hopefully someone else can come by and assist.

Good thread to warn others not to mess around with IDS / SDD without realising you can brick your car.

RESOLVED !!!
I'm ashamed to admit how easy this issue with the ECM module was to solve.
After all the messing with JLR-SDD to program the module without success, it was only when I began pinpoint testing (using pinpoint tests in JTIS) that the solution came about.
I found that there was no power to the ECM on pin3, so the fault was between pin3 and the battery.
Poking around with my DMM, I traced it to the relay R7 (for EMS relay) because there was no voltage at the fuses f16 - f21, with or without the ignition on.
I replaced R7 relay, same result.
Replaced it with yet another one and success.
I was then able to reprogram the ECM with SDD. Main upload to ECM = 20 mins.
Plenty of activity on the Instrument Panel and then I had to input all the injector correction codes (found on the fairly new injector bodies).
Finished off programming and then, my a great sigh, it fired up on first turn of the key.......so proud.
I was on the verge of giving up and this was my last attempt.
Many thanks to all those who contributed in helping me to sort this problem.
