thanks .. yeah this is good stuff.. my heated seats dont work and my hazzard lights..that would top switch stopped working thought it might be a fuse or something .. i dont know what else it would be .. any ideas?
unboxed, I am assuming that your turn signals work just fine. What you need to do is pull the radio out of the dash and re-plug in the connector on the back of your hazzard/heated seat assembly. From the sounds of things, that has come disconnected and is therefore causing your issues. The two systems are completely separate other than running through a common plug. Let me know if this is or is not the case. I will be curious as to what the answer is.

You could also try checking out the post in the x type faq quick link thread unboxed although it is also for an 03 I believe but has a diagram as well

Thermo .. that would make sense .. cause i did have an after market radio put in and it stopped working around that time .. ill check it out thanks again
Thermo, I am learning to love your posts however on this one your fuse and relay locations do not match mine that I have physically tested nor my owners maunel whatsoever. I have a 2004 x-type 3.0
New2me, PM me your e-mail address and I will send you the wiring diagrams for your car. Worst case, put your e-mail address here and I will grab it from here.

Thermo and reysl, thanks for the quick replies. It looks like I don't have the ability to send a PM, is there something i need to unlock this feature? I will try the links reyesl posted but I am sure there are more questions I am going to have and hopefully be able to help answer at some point. I must admit this forum is a great resource.
The Fuse panel details from Thermo are, as he says, for MY2003 and earlier. For MY2004.25 there was a major update to the wiring harness arrangements and a re-numbering of the fuses plus the wiring was changed from hard wiring into the fuse panels to plug-in.
Thanks for the responses but I have looked through the links and I cant seem to find what I need. The Topix site wont let me login after I created an account, the link astormorg has a fuse panel that looks like mine but it only describes the relays and not the fuses. My x-type is a left hand drive and the fuse panel under the steering wheel is F1 - F55. Thermo I sent you a PM or atleast i think I did, if not please let me know.
In the link I gave you, you have to get into the wiring diagrams section to identify the fuse details. However, that's messy if you want an overall list, so go back to Topix - you don't even have to register to get the handbook details. Go to the X Type, year 2004, select the Owner tab then Handbook, then Roadside Emergency. The list of fuses begins on page 174

Thanks everyone for you help it was the fuse. I have to admit those wiring diagrams were much more than what I was asking for but I would rather have to much information instead of to little. The factory radio has a good sound to it.
Hi folks, I'm having issues with MY central locking too. Is the diagram given above the same for a 2005 x type estate? If not could someone post up that diagram please?

smnp, the above link should do you just fine. Please keep in mind that the diagrams for the door locks is specific to the region of the world that you are in. The locking system in the US is not the same that is used in say England (single lock verses double lock). So, please keep that in mind.
