CD Changer Problem

CD Changer Problem
Hi all,
My CD Changer has suddenly stopped working. When I press the CDC button on the main console nothing happens. All other functions of the main console work fine such as Nav and the built in single CD player.
The CD Changer will eject when I press the button on it in the boot so it must have power, just doesn't seem to communicate with the console.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Adam.

Hi,
As there is no mention of the sat nav guidance voice not working then we can assume the fibre optic 'ring' is complete and operational.
That does not mean that the cd changer is being seen by the system.
You can confirm that the cd changer is being seen by the system by putting the system into engineering mode by starting the engine (so as not to flatten battery).
Then pressing the phone and menu buttons on the nav unit at the same time until a 'beep' is heard.Release phone and menu buttons.
A code screen should be displayed.
press numbers 1971 then press enter,
a new screen should be displayed,
press 'misc' on screen,
a new screen will be displayed,
Press 'options' on screen.
The screen should show the options that are fitted to your car.
'CDC' should have a 'dot' next to it if the system is seeing it.
If it isn't then your changer may be faulty or it is not receiving the wake up feed that it needs to function.
If it is faulty it is usually due to water ingress into the boot/trunk area.
Switch off ignition and back on to return nav screen display to normal.
Hope this helps
Gary
