Default RE: cruise not available

Cruise unavailable is just a soft code, meaning that there is a bigger issue that has yet to show itself. The reason it says cruise unavailable is so that if your jag goes into limp mode your not locked into a high speed. When your jag goes into limp mode it locks itself in 3rd gear...If your on the freeway, in cruise, doin 75 then down shifting into 3rd gear would be not good...

Sounds like your gonna need to get your jag diagnosed??

could have a sub processor failure. the pcm has 2 processors. the main (outside processor) and the sub processor (this controls throttle and cruise)... it could be a simple patch file that needs to be loaded. you will have to find someone with wds/ids to diag it for you. or take it to the dealer.

without pulling all codes, you are just guessing at it! it could also be a bad battery. the negative terminal likes to crack and corrode on the xtype and can cause some voltage related issues.

Ohhhhhh........listen to Andersen...(slap) goin on about cruise control an how he's got it.....lol
Well, Bo's right........only in the states do you guys demand everythin as std.......over here we have lower standard base models then lots of possible options, which means you can buy exactly the car you want, or indeed the car you can afford!
Therefore you end up with many more possible choices than I guess you guys have.
Anyway Andersen, stop bein b*tchy, its not like you.
Did you get outta wrong side of the bed this am or what?
Oh yeah.........I've got bright lights and can at least see where the h*ll I'm goin....... whats your excuse?.........lol

Its easy to forget some of you are from across the pond. And us americans have been spoiled by many enjoyments. I would love to buy my cars the way you guys do, but I dont make the rules. And Im just saying...Cruise should never be a option, It should be a standard. Leave the options for cup holders and heated seats(which I have).

Cheers

If I remember rightly the coldest it got over here was -18 but that was a few years ago. I remember cos I had to put a jumper on over my t shirt. Not cold enough for heated seats.........lol
