Part # C2S40669 updated 'green' 'o'rings are less than $2.00 each from the Jaguar dealer delivered to my shop. Retail is a little higher price but they are STILL CHEAP!!
Don't pull the intake for the lower valve, just stretch the 'o'ring over the plastic housing endcap and push it back in.

Default I think I need the same thing..

Hello everyone. Wow I love this forum! Thanks for letting me join.

My wife's '03 X-Type 2.5L (115K miles) has developed a P0121 and P0124 Lean codes, and intermittently the CEL comes on with the familiar "Cruise Control Not Available" message. I knew about the PVC hose and have replaced it a couple times over the years.

Also, just recently, the Recirc door is stuck and fogging the windows something fierce. Cracking the window fixes that, but is noisy. I plan on checking the door this afternoon.

Does anyone have a photo of these seals where they are on the car? Would be very helpful.

(My apologies if they are listed someone else here. I just joined today and haven't purused the forums yet)

Just had the same issue this last week when the weather turned cold. On the way to work one morning CEL can on. That evening, I had O'rielly's pull codes P0171 & P0174. After a little research on the forum, I popped the hood in search of a vacuum leak. Didn't take long to identify the upper IMT as the culprit. Ordered o-rings from Jaguar of Troy Tuesday, they arrived Friday, and after 20 minutes under the hood, the job is done. As stated by others, the bottom o-ring was easily slipped over the module from the outside; no need to remove the intake. CEL is off, we'll see what the next couple of days bring. With shipping, the o-rings ran about $15.00.

i didn't get these p0171 and p0174 codes until AFTER I did all those things: IMT 1st, cleaned maf sensor, then fuel filter, then breather hose and pcv valve, then upper and lower intake gaskets plugs and rear 3 coils - had catalytic code before all this - cleared it with the extension trick, then got all kinds of stumble and misfire codes later which promted me to do the tune up with gaskets - stumble gone - car runs much better but I have the lean codes - could a manifold gasket leak cause this? oh - front upstream O2 sensor threw codes - replaced that and it went away - this lean thing burns me since I just did all that work...

Hot engine, parked. Read trims at idle & again at 2500rpm. If they drop towards zero you have a leak.

Leaks lead to cat failure.

ok - I was about to get flustered - but it was most likely the tube that runs from the rear of the intake manifold. It became disconnected - I probably didn't secure it properly during the reinstall of the manifold. I also sealed off where formerly would have been what I've come to find is the air filter resonator (the little box behind the air filter that is also connected to the oem intake hose after the maf sensor. My set up is aftermarket short ram - so I mistakenly had a breather filter there. With as much hesitation I was getting before tune up and getting no codes - I found it funny to get codes now that everything is as it should be - so off to test drive some more and check gas mileage to see if I saved my catalytic converter or if it's already gone. You guys approve of all these hard vacuum lines or should I eventually try to retrofit to soft rubber vacuum lines? (Fuel lines - I don't think flimsy vacuum can take the heat.
