Engine start problem
Hello,
I am a fan of jaguar since the time I bought my first X-Type two years ago. It was a 2003 2.0 D, and I didn't have any significant problem with it for 2 years. Then I sold it and bought the X-Type I have now. It is 2005 X-Type 2.0 D, 178.000 km in total shows the counter (I really want to believe ).
I have a problem with starting the engine. When I try to start it, sometimes it works, sometimes it gives a sound like it's trying to start the engine, but it fails and then for example after trying 3 times, it works.
And today I saw the message "stability control failure" on the screen, but then it was replaced by the message "stability control on".
I searched in the internet about this problem, and in one of the topics, I found a similar problem and one person was saying that it could be a dual mass flywheel problem.. What do you all think about this?
The clutch is very hard, seems that it was never replaced with the new one. I don't know if it's causing this. When I am pushing in the clutch, I feel like I am feeling the engine. I never had this in any other car..
I took the car to the Ford service here in Germany, because Jaguar service is very expensive. First they changed the jockey pulley and claimed that they fixed the problem, but it didn't work, and then they changed the injection nozzle. They changed it yesterday. Yesterday I could start the engine easily, now again I have the same problem. The engine start is so weak, and it's not working everytime. They charged me so much money but they couldn't fix the problem. I don't know where or who else to take the car.. Can you please give me any idea about what to do and what the root cause of the problem might be?
I really appreciate your help. Thank you very much
