Gearbox Fault Message x-type 2.5 04
Hi my car has gone into safe mode and the dash displays Gearbox Fault. I've read codes and P1642 P1638 and P1000 come up all of which seem to suggest my OBD reader is not communicating with my car. Now car was working fine yesterday but battery has been on its way out for a week or so. Today I replaced the battery and this is when the engine light came on with the gearbox fault message. Any ideas.

P1638 Can Link ECM/INSTM Circuit / Network Malfunction
P1642 Fuel Pump Monitor Circuit High Input
P 1000 - is not the fault of the machine is the operating system error scanner , which are either node tests
who do not have to check in the car , or software does not match the version of firmware that is installed
in a computer machine.
in my opinion you should find a unit that is responsible for communication boxes and ACT engine and replace it with
I don `t know exactly how it is called in English but it is a small box where you have the shift lever , or rather under it

Fixed
Ok some sound advice thanks so much. However, Jag seems to have fixed itself after a little driving around resetting the faults each time etc. In fact its driving better than ever!!! So I can only conclude that all the computer things got very confused when I changed the battery over and have now sorted themselves out.
