Need replacement body panels
Hey guys, since buying my first used Jaguar X Type, I’ve been lucky enough to find an enormous wealth of parts to fix the various mechanical and electrical issues without breaking my bank account… but one thing I have not been able to find with any kind of frequency is new body panels, etc.
I have said, in my other post that my Jag originally started its life in the northern United States. Which means a lot of cold winters, salt, and magnesium chloride. The previous owners of this car seemed to have taken great care with the mechanical maintenance while almost completely neglecting everything else on the car. My rocker panels, both driver and passenger front, are rusted beyond repair and I need to cut them out and put new ones in. Can anyone in here point me in the right direction of someone who supplies those panels? Like if I were to bring my Jaguar to an auto body shop for any kind of rebuild/repair, where would they get replacement parts?
I really would appreciate some wisdom on this and thank you ahead of time for any effort or thought you put into it
