Default Lots of fault codes and loss of power at 3500RPM

Hi all, lots of fault codes as you can see and a lack of power 0-60 in 15 secs, this is the 2.5 Indianapolis. Also a complete loss off power at 3500rpm, only seems to do this in third and forth gear when the engines hot. I imagine not all these fault codes are the issue but one of them is causing the problem and making them all show up?

Chris, humor me. Access the #1 and #3 coils and check in the plug wells. I am betting you are going to find a little bit of oil down in those plug wells. With the coils removed, spray a little bit of Isopropyl Alcohol into the coil pack (where the plug attaches) and clean off the plug of any oil. Clean out all the oil from the plug well too. I am betting that your problem goes away.

Since you are in that far, probably a good idea to pull the plug out just to look at the end to make sure that nothing else is going on (end of the electrode damaged, wrong gap, etc).

With the plug cleaning, all these problems should go away as they are all related to excessive misfiring of the engine. Clear the codes and see what happens after the plug wells have been cleaned.

I have replaced all the plugs and if I remeber correctly there was oil in a couple of the wells. I didn't check in the coils ,will do it after work tomorrow.

If there is engine oil present in the spark plug wells, the spark plug boss seal and cam cover gasket must be replaced or oil fouling will short the coils.

Default update

I have now replaced, the MAF, injectors ,coils, upper and lower intake, spark plugs, breather hose, air filter and still have this loss of power problem. I have noticed the exhaust produces quite a bit of white smoke all the time and my coolant level keeps dropping. Am I know looking at a blown head gasket? And could this be the reason behind the lack of power?

It is probably a good idea at this point to perform a compression test. If the engine has been overheated, there is a good possibility that the head gasket(s) are no longer sealing, or there is other damage to the engine.

Default white smoke

Sorry not had much time for the car recently with work, I have a compression test kit on order. If it does turn out to be the head or gasket is there Amy other way to change them without removing the engine or is that just impossible. Just read up on removing the engine and that's way out of my skill levels so unfortunately the car will be for the scrap heap!
