Default replacing the wood dash parts?

I have an X-type that has cracks in the wood dash parts on both the driver and passenger sides. (These are the wood grain dash parts that go around the gauges and also cover the airbag on the passenger side) I have bought new (uncracked) replacement parts, but am not sure how to go about removing the old ones. Anyone know who to do that?
