Default Will Volvo Wheels fit x-type?

I know that volvo 5-lugs have the same bolt pattern as the jag(5x108), but are there other issues I should be worried about? Currently I am running the stock 16s with all season tires but I want to get a set of 17s for summer. I like the Volvo S60 wheels. Any Thoughts?

They work, but you will want hubcentric rings for 850/S70/V70/S60 and early C70 wheels to adapt 65.1mm to 63.4mm (yes, less than 1mm thin and about $20 for the rings, but find metal ones). The newer C70/C30/V50 and current body S40 even have the same center bore as our cars.

Edit: XC90 wheels also work, but those have 67.1mm hubs. Still can do with hubcentric rings.

Can you tell I have been a moderator on a Volvo forum since 2003?

Why not? They have a huge selection of OEM wheels that look better than many X/S/XF wheels we can get. They even have some made by BBS if that is your thing.

not to mention the Volvo market is bigger. People advertise Volvo wheel packages that are aftermarket, some really nice, and no mention they also would fit an X

its not about the fit, its about using those 2 brands on one thing.... if those rims have a volvo stamp, that is wrong. its like taking a gap pair of jeans and putting a levi's tag next to a gap tag. how about taking a bmw 540i 02 grill and put it on an x because it fits and looks nice on the jag......

Volvos are more expensive and coveted than our X-Types in general, so I don't see an issue in terms of prestige. You can always change the center caps and avoid wheels with embossed "R" or "XC" in the spoke if it bugs you.

what bothers me is getting a rim from another make and putting it on your car which is not the same make. whether you have a rolls royce and you find a s600 brabus rim good looking, its a no no no. I am sure there are better after market rims you can put on a jag rather than taking from another make... if the rims are that good, save money and buy a volvo then. like i said you have an armani shirt you see perry ellis tag that fits and looks good on the porket of your armani shirt, are you going to sew it on your porket?

Would it be ok to wear an Armami shirt with a pair of Perry Ellis jeans?

Now it's all so clear to me and why Joan Rivers keeps calling and that pesky pair Stacy London and Clinton Kelly keep showing up at my door. I've been dressing my cars badly since 1997

1997 (Porsche wheels on VW):

2003 (after working abroad for 5 years... Mercedes Benz wheels on Volvo)

2006 (Ferrari Challenge replicas on Volvo)

2008 (Porsche wheels on Volvo - I changed the center caps to blanks after this photo)

2009 (Audi A8L replicas on on VW)

2010 (Carlsson [Mercedes Benz] replicas on Jaguar)

2010 (Porsche on Jaguar)

I guess the fashion police isn't happy with me. I'm literally wearing Perry Ellis jeans with a Lucky Brand T-Shirt as I type this. :/

Default you got me wrong....

you can wear a gucci shirt and perry ellis jeans no problem..... dont take a gucci tag and put it on you perry ellis jeans or vice versa. at the end of the day it's your car you can do whatever you want. hope you will remove the center cap.
