Default X-Type leaking water???

Hi everyone,

I own a 2007 X-type with 108000 km on it. My AC has not been working properly lately. It blows warm air when the car is idling and starts to blow cold air at higher revs. When I slow down or stop, the warm air is back. In addition to that, when I park the car, a pretty substantial puddle forms underneath the front of the car. The liquid is transparent and has no taste so it must be water. Where is it coming from? Is it condensation from the malfunctioning AC and how do I fix this? Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

It sounds like you are accumulating water in your plenum chamber.
The drains get blocked easily due to there being some sound deadening foam stuffed up between the front wings and the 'A' pillar area.
I would remove the foam padding and throw it away as it is only to reduce wind noise and to be honest I haven't noticed any difference with it removed.

Hope this helps

Have you checked for a plugged cabin filter?
