Default X type Whistler

My 2004 X type 3.0 Automatic AWD with 42,000 miles has developed a whistling sound. I seems to be doing it when it's shifting up or down. Any answers would be appreciated.

My wife's X-Type had an issue like this a couple years ago that started on a morning when it was -33 outside. Turned out it was the prop shaft which the dealer replaced at a cost of around 1,500 I think... As I recall it was more of a whine than a whistle and the whine would seem to get louder and quieter when you would speed up or slow down.

Not trying to shanghai the thread, but my car's whistling is different.

Mine seems to develop a whistle at around 70 mph from the moonroof area. When it was whistling one day, I slid the cover back, and it was louder so I'm guessing it's either from the moonroof or the top edge of the windshield. Not sure which.
