Default 2005 x type fiber optic optical cable needed d2b alpine premium audio

i have a no audio connection in my 2005 jaguar x type. it has the alpine premium audio system. I got it to work once while playing with the connection under the fuse box ( u.s.a. model) the light is very bright at the under fuse box connection, but dim in the trunk at the amplifier and cd changer. I suspect the front to back fiber optical cable is bad. does anyone know where I can source one or have the part number for it? I tried the service or set-up menu to see if all the components in the system were active, but the only code or numbers that came up were a 10400.

Search for and send a private message to DrDome. He has a half dozen x-types he is parting out. He might be able to fix you up.

very rare for them to go bad ,if you open it up you have two spings either side ,may be some connection not right or pulled out ,its in a loop if you break the loop nothing works, also check behind the radio

tinted the windows on the car and when I was done the radio still powered up, but no audio output. was thinking it would be easier / cheaper to connect in a new fiber cable outside the car without running it through it to check and see if it is the issue. rather then purchasing a used amplifier and finding out it was the cable.
