Twal, lets start with the obvious and then we can go further from there. When you roll the key to the START position, does the message center say something to the effect of "Security Fail" and/or the center console has a solid red light? If so, your problem lies with the security system of the car. Write back and we can take things from there.
Next, as you roll the key to the RUN position (not the START), can you hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds and then turn off? If you can't, then it is possible that you have a bad fuel pump from sitting. You can try spraying a little bit of starting fluid into the intake (there is a nice hole to squirt some in right on top of the intake). IF the car fires now and runs for a second or two, then this would confirm a fuel pump issue.
Not to ask a silly question, but does the radio turn on? If not, then you may have a wiring issue where the power to the cabin of the car is affected which will have an effect on the car's ability to start. Along the same lines, then you roll the key to the RUN position, does the "Check Engine" light come on? If no, then your ECU is not getting power and therefore the car will not start.
Lets see what you have at this point and then we can take it from there.
