Default Damage to undercarriage please help me

Ok so i took a piece of retread from a truck tire at about 75mph. Went under the car and ripped off the scoop for the transfer case. I can find that. But it also bent the bar/connector between the frame rails. The metal piece that the transfer case scoop sits upon, the one that ya need an extension to get past for oil changes. What is this called, is there a part number and most importantly will i be able to drive 1500 miles home? Thanks in advance

It's called a connector.

Cut out the old one and weld in a piece of tubular steel with bends at the appropriate places..

Gmaxima, you should be good driving home. Once you get back here, if you don't mind a little bit of a drive, you can come down to my place and I am sure we can get it repaired. I live down in California, MD.

If a new tube needs to be made, I should have all the tools needed to get it done.

So these are the mangled transfer case scoop and more importantly the connector that is bent to hell. Thermo does this look repairable?
