Default How to remove the center caps on rims

The center caps in my rims are all worn and need replacing. I have the 6 spoke 17 inch rims. How do they come out? Are they simply pressed in? Do you have to remove the wheel?

I suggest removing the wheel then simply press out from the inside. Plenty of pictures of them available to see online if you search to see the design of how they are made. You would probably damage them or clear coat on the wheels by prying them out with wheel still on the car.

If you are going to replace them and toss the old ones, just drill a hole in the center of them and use anything to grab the hole and pull them off. They just snap into place.

Just use a flat screw driver wrap some electrical tape on the tip and pry them off.

Got a kid's toy suction dart around? Lick the dart tip, stick it on the cap, and, "pop!" the cap is off!
