i finally bought a i930
Hello, i'have bought a i930 icarsoft for my 2005 xtype 2.0D estate. It can read fault parking sensor and my front right center sensor has connection problem. Should i dismantle the front bumper to work on it ? And i've abs light and dsc fault on but the i930 tells me that it isnt dtc for abs. What can i do to read and clear dtc and light off my dashboard ? Thanks a lot

It definitely reads them. Make sure you have the reader set up correctly, and if you have a 2004, you need to see if it is pre- or post-facelift.
Pre uses the 2001-2003 codes, post uses the 2004-2006 codes. There were a number or changes with the facelift.
Check out this link, he goes right through the steps:

That is a "yaw rate" sensor, located under the console. It affects the DSC and ABS on our cars. It compares where the car is going versus where it is aimed, and shuffles the power to the wheels in different proportions to attempt to keep all four corners "squared up" i motion.

Ebay is a good bet; I got mine from a breaker.
Make sure you clean all of your sensors and the rear rings before you spring for the sensor.
To change it, pop off the right side console side cover (move the seat back, find the single screw that holds in in; the rest are just clips). The box in the pic is pretty close to actual size...it is located just below the J-gate.
Take out the electrical plug, unbolt the old one (2 x 8mm, I believe...may have been 10mm), reverse the procedure to reinstall.
Literally a ten-minute job, start to finish.
Mine was bad; apparently they can delaminate internally...rare, but it happens), Only symptom was an occasional "DTC unavailable" message and a ABS pulse through the brake pedal for no apparent reason when stopping. Not enough to light the TC or ABS lights, so it was a bear to track down!

No chance of fixing it...sealed up pretty tight. Correct, just the right hand cover, it will be right below the J-gate in the clear, even my fat hands fit in with room to spare. They are bolts on studs, so the bolts come off, the old one lifts out, and the replacement drops right on the studs.
Put the bolts on, replace the cover...done.
I looked at the ratchet, it was a 10mm, and I needed a short extension to get at the back bolt; a 10mm deep would do the job without an extension.
The picture above is close to actual size, by the way. PN is 1S7T-14B296-AD, it is specific to the X-type. The only cross ref is for the Mondeo, the Contour and Fusions use a different type. There are a few on eBay in the $50 neighborhood.
The Jag ones don't seem to go bad all that often, but the almost identical model (different pin-out) in the Mercedes crap out all the time.
Are you here in the states, or in Europe? They seem to be less expensive in the UK, where the car is easier to find in the breaker's yards.
