Hi anyone have the part number for the inlet manifold hose, that joins the EGR, for x-type sport premium diesel 2007, trying to get the part but local jag dealer do not ring back as promised - so may need to order on line and want to make sure i get the right one. is it safe to use the car with a split hose?

Thanks

Jaguar's Electronic Parts Catalogue (JEPC or EPC) is invaluable for finding part numbers. The link to download a copy is at the top of the "How To / Quick Links" page:

Wish I could help further, but I don't know diesel X-Types - they're rare in the US. Surely a European member will know and respond.

Assuming you mean the exhaust gas recirculation pipe, which is VIN-specific. The superseded part number is JDE8720 and requires two gaskets: JDE1827. Assuming the bolts are reusable, be sure to put anti-seize compound on the threads during reassembly.

Surprised a Jaguar agency in your country is so unresponsive.

Many thanks NBCat, now all sorted, and no smoke! I had to travel 30 miles to get the Part from another Jaguar dealership, my local one in Liverpool was a waste of time, 6 phone calls and was then told he could not find the part i needed - very poor service from a Main dealer.

You may want to bring this to the attention of senior management at that dealership, or to JLR themselves.
