I saw one on a Jaguar club trip to Quebec City in June, supposedly was one of the very first ones sold. Not sure if I've seen one since because they look so similar to the XF that I'm not sure my eye has "captured" its look yet.

Took delivery of my XE back in June and still haven't seen another one on the road other than at the service center. I've seen one F-Pace though. Which was very nice, has a distinct look that catches your eye even if you don't know what car it is.

I saw one Dark Blue XE on I-95 north close to Lexington, MA. He passed me, I flashed my lights, he waved his hand in appreciation. You can't beat Jag owner comradeship.

Don't get use to it. It's quite rare for a Jag owner to wave to another unfortunately. Alfa and Lotus were to two marques I would get consistent waves from other owners; not Jaguar and I have spent the most time in Jag over the other two.

Not much 'comradership' around here in L.A.

15 years ago I got waves and comments on my Series III VDP (one guy pulled up next to me at a red light, rolled down his window and said, "love your car!")

Today, not so much. Only got a nasty semi-racist comment at a gas station from a panhandler when I turned him away. Lol

Saw another white one today, next to an X350.

XF, XE, XJ....all hard to tell from the front! I was in the front and had to slow down to get to its behind. I also went down to the dealership to pick up a F-Pace 'brochure' which turned out to be a 170-page glossy tome, very impressive!

I can tell the difference looking from the front, but you have to look close. The XE's headlights are a bit more aggressive than the XF, while the XJ has the double J-blade, as well as a beefier hood and grille.

Saw my first XE in the wild today - it was the same I saw sitting in the driveway a couple of blocks away.

There was one in the Crewe railway station car park today on a personal plate. We parked there to go to London to buy a lovely 2007 XJ6 Sovereign in Ice Blue metallic. See my post in the X350/358 forum.

I was shocked when I pulled to a light next to a very stripped down XE here in NJ, it looks so different in a base vs a sport to a point it looked like a different car almost. I hope I see more on the road as I have only seen just this one so far.

Now here's a thing. I stopped at a small supermarket near me and when I came out there was a white and very new Jaguar saloon next to my car, the wife's New Beetle. Before I could get in and driver off, (it was dark), the owner came along and I said "nice car, is that an XE" only to be told is was an XF ! So I do have real problems when I see a new Jaguar saloon working out whether it is a XE or an XF, unless I see the model letters at the back.

IMHO, Jaguar has got too much like BMW and its corporate style. There is no real reason for them all to look alike as much as they do. Mercedes seems better at this at the moment, not that I'm going to rush out and buy one.

This was already a problem way back when I had trouble telling apart an XF from an XJ fascia. It's all about 'corporate identity' fad that started with Audis.

I HATE IT.

Why are there so few on the road? Is it because of the change of factory which has impacted supply till they get going?

eh I think it's because everybody's buying crossovers and SUVs instead of sedans. Each month, Jaguar is selling more F-Paces than F-Type, XJ, XE, XF ALL Combined.

I have a theory why people prefer SUVs--

The roads are so bad that even a trip to the neighborhood grocery store feels like an off-road experience.
