Default Water in trunk/boot

Anybody have a problem with their 2016 XF getting a little water in the trunk, next to the spare tire in the area just in front of the tire/tyre iron and blocks. I had a spare rag in that spot and it was soaked. I was outside a lot and under heavy rain conditions. I do know that water leaks are not uncommon in many brands of auto. Just trying to figure out where it is coming in before I take the ferry to Vancouver to the dealer. Thanks

This was a common issue on the S-type. I thought Jag had sorted it out (?)

Water leaks are not uncommon. That's why cars have some drain holes made to create a free exit for the collected water (not sure about the Jag, but my all cars had it and I don't see why Jag is different). So maybe your rag is stopping the water from draining? Try to remove it and see if the situation changes.

I mean, water will still make it to a boot/trunk, but it will also drain out and dry out eventually. If not, then your drain holes could be plugged by dirt.
