What are they going to do, and what does the Owners Manual say needs to be done every year.

No, unless it makes you feel good to throw money at your car knowing that it couldn't care less.

Why do you think the car requires an annual visit?

I would ask what is the breakdown of that cost, and what is done. You don't say what mileage you're on. It doesn't sound outrageous just a bit expensive. $468 = £374.

Versus paying a local guy $75 to do an oil change which is probably the only thing that's due.

Yes if they say so. No if you go to an independent. Dealer maintenance is expensive. Search for independent Jaguar repair in Philadelphia. Cost will be determined by what they need to do for the mileage you have.

I think it is better to wait until devill0 tells is what the work items are. For instance, there may be an air-con service in there, or brake pads.

Look in the owners manual it will clearly explain what needs to be done and when. There's no need to do anything else (other than change the oil more frequently than is recommended, and to change the transmission fluid/filter at about 60K).

Dealer here told me the next routine service ie oil/filter & full checkup would be about 250$ Canadian. That is fine with me. That would be at about 20K miles(mine are in kms).

Overcharge. $200US is a consistent dealer charge for oil change. Independents do it for $120US. And less. At 15K oil is the only fluid needing change. Depending on time maybe cabin filter, brake fluid, windshield wiper blades.
