Default Blinded by the light (parking brake)

Does anyone else have a problem where the sun occasionally hit the chrome parking brake lever? When the sun hits it just right it can be very distracting and blinding.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue and found a way to address it. Picture below:

I definitely have noticed that issue. I found a very high tech solution... I put my hand in front of the reflection.

I know that's not what you were hoping to hear but I've found that the situation comes up infrequently for me and doesn't last very long.

Happens to me all the time, but it's not just the ebrake, it also reflects off the shifter and the very glossy wood. Tinting the windshield helped, but it can still get pretty bad sometimes

I keep a stylish dish towel in the center console. On hot days I use it to keep the shifter cool and also use it for the noon hour when the sun is blinding.

For the shifter circle, I also have a Mina Gallery Growler in place of the aluminum disc. Cuts down on the direct reflection.

Haha I forgot you Brits don't know what the sun is. I live in southeast USA and it's hot as hell here almost all year round.

Never had that problem. Once in a while I may get a flash reflection, but nothing steady.
