2009 XF Differential replacement
Hello.
This is a popular subject. My 2009 XF 4.2 N/A has about 97,000 km's and the VIN production number is R19964.
I have reviewed Jaguar Technical Bulletin #JTB00175NAS5 dated July 27, 2012.
I priced the Rear Differential Replacement parts required on SNC Barrett at $3,821.32 US.
Having read through Cambo's post, overview-jag-differentials-134733 dated Jan 13, 2015, with great interest, I believe that my car has a Gen 2 differential (Ford Visteon 8"). It is my understanding that this differential was replaced with the Gen3 Non E-Diff (GKN Driveline) in the 2010 model year.
Is this differential the same as the differential conversion referenced in JTB00175NAS5 used for R41866 to R47153 and from R47154? Would a used differential used in this production range fit into my car, if I could find one?
I would appreciate any insight?
Cheers,
