Default Fuel leak issues on 4.2

I've been trolling trying to find info and cant seem to find anything workable so here goes.

2010 XF 4.2 leaks fuel pretty bad but its not the 5.0 and not in VIN range for the recall...also pretty sure I found the issues but need confirmation. Poked around and so far looks like there's a line disconnected at the fuel pump...previous experience with other DIY leads me to believe its a fuel return line. Judging from everything else on the car I'm probably way off and it's a brake line or some **** lmao

Anyone know if there is in fact supposed to be a line here and if so where it routes? A shop manual would be awesome but I cant seem to find one that covers this model (everything I've found shows a different setup for the fuel sending unit...single line and a harness connection vs my dual line and harness) I'm trying real hard to not have to drop the tank and all associated **** that's in the way just to find out there isnt a line or the line is somewhere I can fish out just by knowing where it is.

Pic attached of sending unit. appreciate any and all help in advance

Ideas:
1. there is no fuel return line
2. get the workshop manual
(or join jag's Topix)
3. use the S-Type workshop manual (free download) as it's the same engine and largely the same car

You can download a workshop manual which covers the XF 4.2 from here for not many $: 2008/2009 XF XFR Workshop Manual [Jaguar XF XFR X250]
Although I've never heard of a 2010 XF 4.2, I thought all 2010 XF V8s were 5.0.

In 2010, US spec base model XFs (Luxury) were 4.2L.

In order to get the 5.0L in 2010, you had to get a Premium, Portfolio, or SC model.
