I bought my spare at https://ikeyless.com/vehicles/Jaguar.../2010/1004444/ and my local Jag indie was able to program it to the car just fine. Didn't get round to getting the blade cut yet. When I bought mine it was a little cheaper at $169 but I'm guessing this is still cheaper than Jaguar parts counter. I think they quoted me around $450 not including the programming.

I believe JLR have tightened up on the programming subscription required for SDD key programming...someone who hands on may know more...

I bought a new key fob off eBay and an indi charged me $60 to program it.

It has to be the same style as your old key fob.

Can you post a link to the one you bought so I can see the seller and get the same one?

Anyone try these sellers in China?

New Smart Remote Key Fob 434MHz 5 Button for JAGUAR XF XFR XK XKR 2009-2013

They have several accounts selling the same key with lots of feedback, but I can't find any feedback for this key. Almost all of their feedback is for little things that cost $15 or less.

At $180 shipped, they are a lot less than the other options. iKeyless has gone crazy and with their prices. With shipping, and now taxes, it's around $275 for their key instead of the $170 I previously paid.

I emailed the seller and got a funny message back saying their product is overpriced, and by the way, they didn't have the right frequency anyway for US cars. Don't know why they advertise it on US eBay.

Couldn't find an online store for Troy for the key. It wants you to fill out a form and gives a lot of conditions before they will sell you a key. Do you have another store link?

True, but as far as the Jag key it really depends on if the key had been programmed (married) before, I too went the EBay route for a Jag key only to find I had been had by EBay! But Jag of Anaheim Hills took care of me for $300. +1 on getting another key, your ECM will always accept 2 keys, so until you fill that 2nd slot a stranger can run off with you Jag.
