My new 2013 XF V6 SC AWD

There are so many improvements made from my older model to this one it seems almost like a different car, except the drive is still truly excellent.
Right away the steering is sharper, seems quicker yet is lighter. Now I do have 19 inch wheels on my new XF and that may account for some of the difference in steering feel.
The suspension is really improved. The ride is softer but the wheel control is tighter, a neat trick. The car is quieter and it isn't just the engine noise is less.
The V6 is a much better engine than my old 4.2 V8. Punchier and quicker throttle response.
The AWD is undetectable on bare roads even in the wet, so far, but I haven't used full throttle yet.
The Portfolio trim is worth getting. The new base 325W stereo is better than the old base stereo system.
The soft close trunk latch is very effective and you no longer need to slam the lid.
Even the stop start is worth using. The niftiest feature of stop start is if you select Park when the engine has stopped itself the whole car shuts off. Disconcerting at first but ultimately a very convenient feature. Like keyless entry this automatic shutdown saves a step in the process.
Also nice is the fact that keyless entry unlocks the passenger door if you approach it with the key in your pocket, even if two stage unlock is active. Encourages old fashioned gentlemanly behaviour, or your wife to carry HER key all the time!
I'm sure I'll notice more improvements as I break in the car. The most amazing was improvement to the steering. I already considered that the original XF had just about perfect steering but the new one is even better.
I can confirm that there is a menu in vehicle settings allowing you to choose if the paddles are active in D mode or not. Default from the factory is not. I'm going to try that for a while and see how I like it.

Hey Jagular,
Congrates, I know the feeling, One month has pass since I made that move to upgrade and I'm still finding improvements from my older SC. Jag has made so many changes for the better without changing what made me come to the brand in the first place. Good luck with her and enjoy...
