Hi
I think you are referring to a Repair manual or maybe the Jaguar Vehicle Care Handbook (general information on roadway issues like fuses, oil capacity, etc).

We have a free download of the Jaguar Shop Manual software (Repair instructions and illustrations, Diagnostics, Electrical Diagrams, DTC info, etc) here on the forum.
It covers XJ (X308) range from 1998 to 2003, Also some of the other Jaguar models series (XK, S-Type, X-Type).

We also have instructions on how to install on windows 32 bit or 64 bit (win7 or XP) PC operating systems.

Please reply what operating system is on the PC where you want to install the software.

Then I will point you to correct forum thread and postings for download and installation.

not to mention that it would work perfectly well running XP on virtualbox in a number of other OS's.

Yes Plums makes a good point about using vitualbox to install & run JTIS software, if your computer is a mac, or unix, etc operating system.

I would not use vitualbox for the JTIS software with any of the microsoft windows operating systems. It uses too much memory, diskspace and you may have to reinstall print drivers and other software applications within the vitualbox mode space.

I have not played around with any of this -- do we have a Mac solution?

Thanks again Jim for all your work with the various links.

I'm running JTIS on both a Win7 and a Win7 Ultimate PC's using VMWare with XPPro as the OS. Neither have required any alternative drivers to be installed.

Tried VirtualBox and didn't like it. As you say, it's memory hungry and is also clunky.
