Default wiper question

which side does the wiper park on? Driver or passenger? Im guessing the wiper is supposed to go from left to right completely across the windsheild??? Mine will only go up and down or stop half way across and then back down....Is this a bad motor or something else?

Mine wipes left to right, all the way across. Try taking it off and run the motor to see if it goes 180 degrees, just a thought. Has it ever worked right for you? I'm thinking the arm is not installed correctly.

its parks on the driver side at the bottom of the window, try doing what Old Mike suggested, but it, or at least mine doesnt go a fully 180° more like 170° it stops about an inch from the bottom of the passenger side

mine moves like an inch up and down back an forth but only an inch and I can move it all the way across the windshield with no problem even when the key is off. Is that normal? I'm guessing I need new motor?

no that is not normal, take the wiper arm off, and inspect it, from what it sounds like, it could very well be stripped, so the motor goes its full rotation, but the sprocket is just slipping through the worn teeth, report back to us with the results

the bolt was loose that holds the arm onto the motor sproket and there was no washer, so added a washer and tightened the bolt now it wipes like it should..yay! Thanks guys.
