Default Trans Service?

Gents
I'm wondering about how these transmissions should be serviced POST rebuild. I looked through the records and in Oct 2007 the po had the tranny rebuilt. Not unusual in these cars as we all know. It's been 30k miles and almost 7 years since this was done so what sort of service should I be looking at doing and when?

Thanks!

ZF currently recommends 60k mile service on their transmissions, probably always did but overruled by Jaguar.

Let the fluid speak for itself. Open up the fill and suction out a little bit and take a look at it.

But do not remove the fill plug if the engine is not running, you will get a three qt. bath if you fumble the plug. With the engine running and the transmission at 30- 50 degC fluid will dribble out.

The ZF 5HP24 manual issued by ZF recommended a 10 year service life for the fluid at the time of publication.

ZF may have revised the recommendation but I don't know.
