I think my o2 sensors are on the way out, again. I'm sure it's been less than a year since I had them replaced, so I won't be impressed if that's the problem.
Managed to get my hands on a proper scanner. Wrote the codes down on my phone, but then it didn't save for some reason......
ok, so the reason might have been that I was too busy playing with the stereo, which is now finished!
I'll check the codes again tomorrow...

Listed "Hope" on Auto Trader.com today. Chose the highest package that didn't involve using their "help".
Also installed a part that came in about a week ago as I just filled up the tank, I can get the numbers to compare the last MLG to this MPG and see how much bull puckey this module is or if it gives me any gains at all. DVMotorsport DVM-EP93 from eBay. The headline reads "+HP +MPG". Here's the description portion:
Add up to 25-50 Horsepower and 35+ ft/lbs of Torque!
Or Increase Fuel Mileage by 25% or more and reduce emissions!
Works on all Fuel Injected models!
100% Reversible, Will Not Void You Warranty!
Safe, will not hurt your vehicle or electronics!
Smoother Acceleration!
Increased Top Speed ability! (does not remove top speed limiter/governor)
Easy install, can be done in less than 5 minutes
Full installation instructions included + unlimited technical support!
The DVMotorsport Perfomance Module is designed to be adjusted to maximize the power or economy from your vehicles current setup. The Perfomance Module will work with a completely stock vehicle or with modified vehicles. Its easy to install, fully reversible, and in most cases requires no cutting or modification of your vehicle. Each one of our Perfomance Module come with detailed installation instructions.
Have you ever wondered why your car seems so much more powerful when it is cold outside? It is because your computer senses intake temperature through the AIT sensor in the intake. It sends signals to your computer which change fuel mapping and ignition timing based on the outside temperature, and (since it is cold in this example) fuel delivery is increased. When it is hot outside, your fuel and timing change again, and fuel delivery and power is decreased, resulting in a fuel mileage increase.
The Perfomance Module, Once Installed, will give you the control of this fuel/ignition mapping.
The "Full instructions included" consists of a link to generic instructions for most cars. They do say to email them with your car's info and they'll send instructions for your car. So I did. They said to give them 24 to 48 hours to respond do to the number of requests that they get. I received a reply within the hour. When I had if you questions regarding those instructions, I received almost immediate reply. They were very good about ensuring my questions were answered. It was almost 9 p.m. When I finished up, so I thought I would take their advice and leaves the negative battery cable disconnected overnight so that the module could online that sell properly with the engine and vice versa. Plus, if I have to go anywhere I can take the Durango. I will be sure to update tomorrow after I get the battery connected and drive around a little bit to get a feel for it. And after this tank of fuel I will be sure and update any significant or insignificant changes, differences, feelings, anything...
I REALLY do not want to let Hope go, but if I don't find a job very soon I'm going to have to...

Easy spray-on, but you will need a medium soft brush to really get the dirt out.
Gentle and slow rotating movements, and regular wiping off with a rag does the trick.
It took me one bottle and two hours to do front and rear.

Patched up the scuff's on the steering wheel, the driver's seat, and the little scratch here and there.
Used SCUFF leather tough up dye, in Sable and Ivory.
The Sable needed a bit of added gloss (set comes with 3 small bottles for color and gloss correction).
The Ivory was spot on.
The driver's armrest was pretty damaged (wear and several scratches), but came out like new.
Finished all off with Zaino Z-10 "leather in a bottle" conditioner, very very pleased with the results.

Beautiful trunk! Nice and clean install. Made waiting worth the wait!

Dsnyder knows of my current attempt to rescue and restore my Cat to her former beauty. Cleaning is so very crucial as the previous owner really let her go after the warranty was complete. Here are a few pictures of the armrest before and after to give you an idea of how filthy she was upon pickup. I'm also including the seat backs that I purchased from a wrecker yard that was parting out a VDP. These will be used in my modification/upgrade.
Some of the best advice I've received was from Dsnyder. He told me to start making small steps to keep my positivity up.

I need to clean up my leather really, the drivers seat is the dirtiest. It looks like it's odd from the rest of the car. I'll get on to that then get a seat cover for when I'm at work.
Yesterday I was doing some sorting in my garage & my XJ was parked on the ramp between the road & pavement/sidewalk. The neighbours kids were going past on their bikes & were getting too close to my kitty. I lost my nerve & decided to move the car forward some more, lucky I did! I slotted into drive & eased forward about 2 feet then heard a clatter. Looking in my rear view mirror I could see the girl had come off her bike, and if I hadn't moved my car she would've been on the rear deck & the bike would've been on the bumper.
I locked the car with the engine running for a bit so it didn't wash the cylinders, as I walked back onto my drive I gave the parents "the stare of death". I didn't see the kids after that.

My wife still hasn't come around and remains in shock but time will tell if I made a great decision or really lost my mind prior to purchasing!
Looks like your Cat filled day was most excellent! Good husband=happy wife=more money to take care of the Cat lol

Got the car with a set of extra rear light units.
Although I am a sucker for originality, I have always liked the slightly tinted lights of Arden.
Decided to give it a go, medium smoke.
Picture shows left one done (actually a bit darker then the picture shows), turned out just decent.
Can always go back to original if desired.

sold one of my jags today......hated to see it go......i have had seven jags over the last 15 or so years....and every time i have to let one go i get the same feeling of loss. the people who present themselves as interested buyers probably think i am nuts.....i spend a lot of time trying to find out why they want to buy the car....have they ever owned a jag before?......will they take care of the car?....etc.....it's almost like i were trying to find a home for my two real cats....buddy and willow......you really can get attached to these cars!
