That was a 13.08/180 run. RT 0.579. The weather was pretty cold +8C ( 46F ) and there was heavy headwind. Almost no traction at the cold airfield track. I put 2/3 tank of gas, kept spare wheel set there and added some 110lbs of macadam into the trunk. Even with that heavy wheelspin first 50m. Mickey Thompson DRs need heat to give great hook. 1/8 time was 0.7 slower than in better conditions.
I remember the Corvette's ET was even slower than mine. Trap speed was higher. It's not good idea to floor the pedal fully down in such poor conditions when you have plenty of power.
He has to beware in any case when my fully new engine will be under the bonnet.

The winner of a speed contest is the winner.
That's vehicle + driver.
Doesn't matter if the driver lost his lunch or had a heart attack.
First across the finish line is the winner barring disqualification.
Don't think there are many racing teams who will give up a championship
because the opposition had a bad hair day.

For the sake of those that aren't regular players, exactly how 'not standard' is this XJR? 13 flat is only about a second faster than stock, although obviously the track will have an impact on times as well.
Either way I'm jealous. Wish I had the funds and courage to do more to my car (than just make it heavier with stereo)
