Spare fob not working
For my 2004 xjs. I have read some of the archives and I am not sure which procedure is correct for my year and model, and am a little confused over whether I should reprogram both at the same time, or just try and reprogram the one that is not working.
Just changed the battery on the spare, hoping it would magically come alive.

When programming fobs, you have to do them together. You can't just add another to an already programmed one. You have to program both the original and the new one at the same time.
Don't be put off if it takes a few tries. I've always thought Jaguar fob programming on any model is more Voodoo than Science.
