No, it is not OEM. Jaguar does have a dead pedal specifically for the XJ, but they do offer one for the F-Type that will work together with the other OEM covers. See this thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...covers-130871/. (XJ)

Just out of curiosity why do people change to metal pedals?

Is it because of the better grip? Or would it mean less grip if your shoes are wet from, say rain?

Do they look better? Do they get less muddier than rubber ones?

I added a custom made "R" logo footrest to my XKR to protect the ivory color carpet. I was tired of having to clean it every other day. My XKR came from the factory with stainless steel covers for the gas and brake pedals, and by adding the footrest I completed what the factory forgot. The footrest also feels more secure underfoot. When I bought my XJ, I added the set of 3 pedal covers because I liked the looks of the ones on my XKR and found these inexpensive universal fit ones on eBay.
