Default IPhone Disconnects

Just traded in my 2011 XJL after 175,000 miles for a new XJL 3.0. Twice now during a call while driving my phone disconnects from the car and switches to IPhone. I have to touch the speaker on the phone to hear the conversation. After I hang up the phone then has to be reconnected to the car. Very frustrating. Any solutions?

You might try and remove the pairing and renew it.

And then report it to Apple and ask for a fix.

Default I noticed the same on my loaner

iPhone 6s + 2016 XF. Happend 4 times in 2 days. Hope my new 2016 XJL (whenever I get it back) would be different as this is very annoying and not safe.

Be sure to report it to Apple as they can't fix what they don't know about.

I did try what XJsss recommended and it seems to be working now.
I do occasionally get in the car and the phone does not automatically connect but its a quick process to connect but the removal and re-pairing seems to have done the trick.
